As a mother of four, breast cancer survivor and former Planned Parenthood Southeast board member, Susie understands the importance of healthcare decisions being made by women and their doctors, not politicians. Susie opposes Georgia’s draconian abortion ban and is committed to restoring reproductive freedoms, protecting IVF, contraception and abortion rights. Reproductive choice extends beyond abortion access; it includes quality daycare, affordable healthcare and family decision-making. Her experience volunteering with Planned Parenthood Southeast and family struggles underscores the urgency to protect these fundamental human rights, linking opportunity and reproductive choice to a woman's ability to achieve her full potential.
Strengthen Community Safety
As a mother whose son was robbed at gunpoint, Susie is deeply committed to reducing crime and enhancing gun safety. Unlike her opponent, Susie will work tirelessly with local law enforcement to get illegal guns off our streets and ensure our neighborhoods are secure. Susie will support common-sense measures like safe storage, expanded background checks and red flag laws to keep illegal guns off our streets. Her dedication to protecting our most vulnerable, including her work as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for abused and neglected children, reflects her unwavering commitment to justice. Susie will ensure a safer, more secure future for all families.
Improve Access to Healthcare
Susie Greenberg staunchly advocates for closing the coverage gap to ensure all Georgians can access quality healthcare. She recognizes the devastating consequences of the state's refusal to accept billions in federal funding, which left over 473,000 Georgians uninsured and caused hospitals, including Atlanta Medical Center, to close. Through her community work, Susie has witnessed firsthand the harmful effects of inadequate healthcare on children and families. She commits to reversing these failures by fighting to keep hospitals open, reducing healthcare costs, and making quality care accessible and affordable for every Georgian.
